Benjamin Ladner, MD, is a UW Health infectious disease doctor. He's also a clinical assistant professor in the Department of Medicine at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health.
Dr. Ladner treats a wide range of patients, including those with bone, muscle, joint or prosthetic joint infections. He also helps patients manage blood and urinary tract infections that can occur from medical devices or during hospital stays.
Dr. Ladner knows the importance of building trust with his patients. He works with them to discuss all the details of their condition so they can make the best decisions for their care. Dr. Ladner also listens to each patient’s goals and priorities. This understanding ensures he doesn’t dictate care to his patients — he tailors it to their unique lifestyle.
It’s rewarding for Dr. Ladner to give his patients a cure and help them regain their quality of life. He’s there to help them live life to the fullest long after they leave the hospital.
In his free time, Dr. Ladner enjoys spending time with his wife and two dogs.
I want to leave my patients feeling empowered, knowing they played an active role in creating their treatment plan.
