Brett Morris, MD, PhD

Brett Morris, MD, PhD, is a UW Health radiation oncologist. He treats patients of all ages with cancer and has a special interest in brain cancer in adults and children. Dr. Morris treats both cancerous and noncancerous tumors and provides radiation therapy to children with brain cancer.

Dr. Morris also is an assistant professor in the Department of Human Oncology at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health.

Dr. Morris appreciates being able to follow his patients throughout their entire cancer journey. He sees patients with early-stage cancers who can benefit from treatments that lead to cures. He also cares for patients at the end of their cancer journey. In these cases, it’s very important to Dr. Morris to use pain management strategies to maximize his patients’ quality of life.

With each patient, Dr. Morris serves as a participant as they go through their treatments and other experiences. He gives advice, helps them navigate their care across different departments and actively listens to what his patients need most.

In his free time, Dr. Morris enjoys pheasant hunting, camping, canoeing and spending time outdoors, specifically in the Northwoods, with his wife, two children and their dogs.

My hope for my patients is that we're able to provide them the maximum quality of life for whatever quantity of life they might have.
