Brian Arndt, MD, is a UW Health family medicine doctor. He provides comprehensive care for patients of all ages with both acute and chronic medical conditions.
From newborn care to end-of-life support, Dr. Arndt sees patients in all stages of life. He treats a wide range of health concerns, including common injuries and illnesses and ongoing physical and mental health conditions. Dr. Arndt specializes in diabetes and weight management, and provides preventive care focused on healthy eating and lifestyle changes.
Committed to improving his patients’ well-being, Dr. Arndt cares for patients from a whole health perspective by prioritizing their physical, emotional and spiritual needs. He believes in shared decision-making with his patients and uses a team-based approach to treatment.
In addition to his clinical work, Dr. Arndt is a professor in the Department of Family Medicine and Community Healthy at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health. He also collaborates with local chefs, dietitians, commercial kitchens and food networking programs to improve the nutrition security and overall health of the local community by increasing access to culturally relevant fresh produce.
In his free time, Dr. Arndt enjoys gardening, hunting, fishing and building campfires out on his farm with family and friends. He also volunteers with the Madison Area Food Pantry Gardens.
My hope for each patient is for them to know they've been heard, they've been understood and they have the opportunity to achieve a life well-lived.
