Catharin Peters, NP, is a UW Health nurse practitioner in gynecologic oncology. Catharin cares for patients with gynecological cancers, including cervical cancer, ovarian cancer and uterine cancer. She also cares for patients with gynecological conditions, including pelvic pain, ovarian cysts (fluid-filled sacs in the ovary) and polycystic ovarian syndrome (hormonal disorder causing enlarged ovaries with cysts). She also works with patients on menopause management including lifestyle changes and medical treatments to help relieve symptoms and prevent chronic conditions.
My patient care philosophy is from the Robin Williams movie Patch Adams: 'You treat a disease, you win, you lose. You treat a person, I guarantee you, you’ll win, no matter what the outcome.'
