Catherine Diaz, NP, is a UW Health nurse practitioner. Catherine provides care for patients with a range of heart conditions, including heart failure, heart rhythm abnormalities, coronary artery disease (CAD), high cholesterol and high blood pressure. 

Catherine enjoys working alongside her patients and their families to improve their health and overall quality of life. She believes that lifestyle changes can lead to significant improvements in many of the health problems that people face. Catherine believes in empowering her patients to take a more active role in their health, and she provides education and tools to help patients thrive outside the hospital. 

In her free time, Catherine enjoys playing soccer, running and traveling with her family. She also enjoys interior design and home improvement projects.

I've always found medicine and the human body fascinating - that is what drove me to become a nurse practitioner. When caring for patients, I truly enjoy explaining complex concepts in a way that patients can understand and helping them take a more active role in their health.
