Charisse Liz Treece, MD, is a UW Health pathologist and a clinical assistant professor in the Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health.
Dr. Treece prepares, tests and analyzes tissue samples (biopsies) to help diagnose diseases and abnormalities. She specializes in surgical pathology for women’s health which includes gynecologic (reproductive system) disorders. She focuses on conditions such as breast tumors and ovarian cysts.
Using skilled visual examination and advanced microscopic and imaging technologies, Dr. Treece performs comprehensive tissue analysis. She prepares detailed medical reports and consults with surgeons and other doctors to diagnose illnesses and determine appropriate treatments.
Dr. Treece is involved in research studies to advance knowledge and care in the field of pathology and is involved in clinical informatics with an interest in digital pathology imaging and workflow improvement.
