Danielle Lima, NP, is a UW Health nurse practitioner specializing in hematology (blood disorders) and oncology (cancer). Danielle cares for people with solid tumor cancers, blood cancers and non-cancerous blood diseases and disorders such as iron-deficiency anemia.
Danielle takes time to listen to her patients’ concerns and provide information in easy-to-understand terms so they can make informed decisions about their care. She takes a patient-centered approach to care, getting to know each patient on a personal level and providing individualized treatment options to best meet their needs. She is excited that her colleagues are continuously discovering new treatments for patients so they can help improve their prognosis and extend their lives.
Outside of work, Danielle enjoys reading, traveling and spending time with her children.
It’s very rewarding to be able to support my patients, comfort them and ensure that they clearly understand their diagnosis and treatment options.
