Di Yan, MD, is a UW Health dermatologist and an assistant professor at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health in the Department of Dermatology.
Dr. Yan examines, diagnoses and treats conditions related to skin, hair and nails, including acne, complex inflammatory skin conditions, rashes, psoriatic disease, psoriatic arthritis, skin cancers, eczema, nail fungus, rosacea, vitiligo, atopic dermatitis, scleroderma, ichthyosis, alopecia and other hair loss.
Following a patient-centered care philosophy, Dr. Yan listens to her patients to understand their concerns, goals and expectations. She recognizes that each skin condition is different and how it affects her patients’ lives is unique to them. She answers her patients’ concerns and educates them about their condition. This helps her to create a care plan that caters to their unique needs and lifestyle by being both effective and easy for the patient to follow. Working together as a team guarantees the best outcome possible.
Dr. Yan’s research focuses on psoriatic disease.
In her free time, Dr. Yan enjoys creating artwork such as painting, drawing and sketching.
I want my patients to feel that their dermatology condition is just a small barrier that we’re able to remove so they can get on with the things they want to be doing.
