Elaine Pelley, MD, is a UW Health endocrinologist. She is also a professor in the Department of Medicine at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health.
Dr. Pelley provides care for people with health conditions affecting hormones and hormone-producing glands. This includes problems with the thyroid, adrenal or pituitary glands.
She has a special clinical interest in bone health, specifically in caring for people with osteoporosis. As part of this, she addresses concerns related to parathyroid gland function and problems related to calcium and vitamin D.
Dr. Pelley chose the specialty of endocrinology because it allows her provide patients with information that they can use to improve their quality of life. Dr. Pelley spends a lot of time getting to know her patients. She enjoys being part of each patient’s journey and supporting their individual goals.
I enjoy being able to help my patients keep doing the activities they love as long as possible.
