Eliza Bennett, MD, is an obstetrician and gynecologist (OB-GYN) at UW Health and an associate clinical professor and the recipient of the Dennis D. and Lynn F. Christensen professorship in family planning at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health, Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology. In addition to maternity care, she helps patients with reproductive health and pregnancy related issues and treats endometriosis, fibroids, noncancerous ovarian cysts and other conditions.
Dr. Bennet enjoys working with patients in all stages of their lives. She is dedicated to teaching family planning, including contraception education, and performs Nexplanon implants and IUD insertion. She also offers cervical cancer screening and preventive care and performs minimally invasive surgeries. When her patients decide to become parents through childbirth, Dr. Bennett provides the full spectrum of maternity care.
Dr. Bennet decided to become a doctor at a young age. She was drawn to medicine by the mix of science, social interaction and the potential to improve lives on individual and community levels.
Her clinic outreach work focuses on contraceptive access, and her research interests include contraception, including long-acting reversible contraception.
Nothing gives me more joy than to see a patient through pregnancy and postpartum care. And then welcome them back if they have another pregnancy.
