Erin Bailey, MD

Erin Bailey, MD, is a UW Health maternal-fetal medicine doctor. She’s also an assistant professor in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health.

Dr. Bailey manages the UW Health maternal surgery program and provides specialized care for high-risk pregnancies. She diagnoses and treats pregnancy-related challenges such as hypertension (high blood pressure), diabetes, placenta attachment disorders and other conditions, complications and risks. She monitors maternal and fetal health throughout pregnancy.

Dr. Bailey collaborates with specialists, subspecialists and teams to determine the best approaches to care. She talks with patients about treatment options, benefits and risks. She performs hysterectomies, abdominal surgery and other procedures. She also provides C-section deliveries for patients who’ve had prior surgeries or conditions affecting labor and delivery. Dr. Bailey offers special care for twins, triplets and multiple births with a higher risk of premature delivery.

In addition to patient care, Dr. Bailey researches pregnancy-related conditions and approaches to care, such as continuous glucose monitoring for patients with diabetes. She also analyzes data regarding fetal surgery results over time.

In her free time, Dr. Baily enjoys baking, running, hiking and downhill skiing.

I love taking care of people and helping them throughout pregnancy, focusing on healthy, safe pregnancies and deliveries.
