Harneet Gahley, MD, is a UW Health palliative care doctor. Palliative care focuses on relieving or managing pain and symptoms and improving the quality of life for people with serious illnesses.

Dr. Gahley cares for patients with advanced cancer, heart disease, stroke, and kidney, lung and liver diseases. She also helps patients and loved ones deal with symptoms of dementia, Alzheimer's disease, Parkinson's disease, HIV/AIDS, multiple sclerosis, amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) and other difficult conditions.

Dr. Gahley provides compassionate care with medical therapies and support for patients and their families. She helps them to manage pain and symptoms of cancer and other debilitating diseases. Although she specializes in cancer care and assists with end-of-life care, her practice serves patients at any stage of a serious illness. She focuses on each person’s unique concerns and treatment goals.

Outside of work, Dr. Gahley enjoys crafting and home improvement projects, tending flower gardens, caring for animals and spending time with her dog.

I provide compassionate, personalized and dignified care that focuses on improving the quality of life for individuals with serious illnesses and their families.
