Heidi Hughes, PA

Heidi Hughes, PA, is a UW Health physician assistant in family medicine. She provides acute and preventive health services for patients of all ages.

Heidi offers wellness exams and ongoing management for chronic health conditions such as diabetes and hypertension (high blood pressure). She also treats mental health concerns, including anxiety and depression. Heidi regularly cares for people with sprains, strains, mouth sores, upper respiratory infections and colds. She also provides care for skin conditions, such as moles, warts and skin lesions (growths).

Heidi enjoys taking the time to get to know each of her patients. She likes to understand where they are with their health care and works to help them self-direct to better health in terms of diet, exercise, sleep and mental health.

Outside of work, Heidi enjoys traveling, gardening, knitting, reading and being outdoors.

The most rewarding part of my job is when a patient tells me that a treatment or suggestion worked and that they’re so thankful I believed in them.
