Jacob Halvorsen, DO, is a UW Health rehabilitation and pain management doctor. He’s also a clinical assistant professor in the Department of Orthopedics and Rehabilitation at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health.

Dr. Halvorsen provides care for people recovering from severe injuries or medical conditions. These include spinal cord injuries, traumatic injuries, major illnesses and neurological conditions such as strokes. He works with a diverse team of specialists to help patients manage pain, rehabilitate injuries and regain function in their daily lives.

Dr. Halvorsen supports whole-person care by treating all aspects of his patients' health. He strives to improve their quality of life by addressing their physical and emotional needs. As a partner to people in uncertain times, Dr. Halvorsen offers his patients stability and comfort through every stage of their recovery. He looks forward to helping people get back to living their best lives.

In his free time, Dr. Halvorsen enjoys cooking and smoking meat.
