James (Adam) Rindfleisch, MD

Adam Rindfleisch, MD, is a UW Health family medicine doctor who treats people of all ages. He is also a professor in the Department of Family Medicine and Community Health at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health. He has fellowship-level training and expertise in integrative health.

Dr. Rindfleisch diagnoses and treats conditions, including allergies, injuries, illnesses and bone diseases. He uses holistic therapies to support and enhance conventional medical treatments. His complementary approaches include dietary supplements and mind-body techniques.

Dr. Rindfleisch asks patients about their values, goals, and what gives them meaning and purpose. He also considers their backgrounds, culture, history and defining moments. Dr. Rindfleisch makes his patients’ priorities an integral part of their care.

In addition to clinical care and teaching, Dr. Rindfleisch researches whole-health educational programs. He led a University of Wisconsin team to create and support the VA's successful Whole Health program.

In his free time, Dr. Rindfleisch enjoys traveling, writing, gardening and spending time with friends and family.
