Jessica La Mar, NP, is a nurse practitioner at UW Health. She treats all types of lung conditions, including chronic cough, asthma, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), emphysema and cystic fibrosis.
Her care philosophy is to listen first and work with her patients to make the best treatment choices. She is also involved in patient-centered quality improvement projects in the clinic where she practices.
In her free time, Jessica enjoys DIY projects, party planning and hosting, Wisconsin sports, long walks and spending quality time with her family and friends.
I first became a nurse to care for people during a time of need. As a nurse practitioner, I’d say the most rewarding part of patient care is developing long-standing therapeutic relationships with patients.
