About

Jodi Longdo, NP, is a UW Health Kids nurse practitioner who specializes in pediatric gastroenterology. She provides care for infants and children who have a wide range of digestive disorders, including gastroesophageal reflux (GERD or acid reflux), constipation, feeding tube issues and other gastrointestinal (GI) challenges.

Jodi has a special clinical interest in pediatric constipation and encopresis (bowel leakage) associated with constipation. She also evaluates and screens children for inflammatory bowel disorders such as ulcerative colitis and Crohn’s disease.

Based on a foundation of trust, Jodi helps children and families through the challenges they face. She eases fears, fosters healing and helps kids manage conditions so they can enjoy a fuller life at home, school and play. Because shared-decision making is at the forefront of her care philosophy, Jodi involves families in their child’s care. She provides education and information while developing individualized care plans.

In her free time, Jodi enjoys spending time with her family, kayaking, paddleboarding and participating in triathlons.

I help kids understand that they they’re not alone and they don’t have to be afraid. Health care appointments can even be fun.
