John Dollerschell, MD, is a UW Health anesthesiologist. He’s also an assistant professor in the department of anesthesiology at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health.
Dr. Dollerschell is fellowship trained in diagnosing and treating critical and potentially life-threatening conditions. He provides expert guidance for managing and caring for patients hospitalized in the intensive care unit (ICU).
Working with multidisciplinary teams, Dr. Dollerschell collaborates to ensure high-level post-operative care. His specialties include critical care after surgery for a wide variety of diseases and disorders. These include advanced heart failure, heart and vascular defects, lung diseases and other complex conditions. He also offers expert care for complications, such as pneumonia and infections.
Dr. Dollerschell evaluates changing conditions, symptoms and care needs while guiding treatment decisions for patients in the ICU. In addition to his patient care and faculty roles, Dr. Dollerschell serves as associate fellowship director of critical care anesthesiology at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health.
