Joseph McKew, NP, is a nurse practitioner at UW Health. Joseph coordinates care for people staying in the hospital before and after heart surgery. As an inpatient hospitalist, he also coordinates hospital care for patients receiving heart and lung transplants. Joseph started his medical career as a paramedic. He worked in emergency services and interfacility transport for over a decade before returning to school to complete his nursing degrees. I enjoy coordinating care for critical care patients because I have a strong interest in serving the intensive care population.
