Katherine Kozarek, MD, is a UW Health anesthesiologist and an assistant professor in the Department of Anesthesiology at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health. She specializes in cardiothoracic (heart and lung) anesthesia care.

Dr. Kozarek delivers anesthesia (pain medicine) and provides anesthesia care for patients before, during and after heart and lung surgery. She monitors and controls patients’ vital functions (such as breathing, heart rate and blood flow) to keep them safe and comfortable during surgical procedures.
