Katherine Sample, MD

Katherine Sample, MD, is a UW Health obstetrician and gynecologist, and also is a clinical associate professor in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health. She provides routine obstetric and gynecologic care to patients through every stage of life. Dr. Sample has a special clinical focus on obesity and lifestyle medicine.

Dr. Sample offers a wide range of women’s health services. These services include breast and gynecologic cancer screenings, urinary incontinence treatments and pregnancy care. She also focuses on obesity medicine and lifestyle medicine. Dr. Sample helps women who are overweight or obese make healthier choices to improve their health.

Dr. Sample enjoys getting to know her patients and learning about their values, priorities and goals. She strives to empower people with information to help them make changes that will have a positive impact on their health. Through shared decisions, Dr. Sample partners with patients to achieve their unique health and lifestyle goals.

Women’s health issues can span several specialties. Dr. Sample collaborates with other specialists on the UW Health team to provide the best possible care for her patients.

Outside of work, Dr. Sample enjoys traveling and spending time with family. She is also learning Spanish and ballroom dancing.
