Kathleen Carr, MD is a family medicine doctor and a primary care sports medicine doctor at UW Health. She is an associate professor at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health in the Departments of Family Medicine and Community Health and Orthopedics and Rehabilitation, Division of Sports Medicine. Dr. Carr is also proud to serve as a team doctor for the Wisconsin Badgers. Dr. Carr treats a variety of medical concerns and provides preventive health care to children and adults. Fellowship trained in sports medicine, she also works with athletes and active individuals of any age. She treats medical and musculoskeletal problems and injuries associated with sports and physical activity. She has a special interest in working with female athletes and dancers and treating athletes dealing with mental health concerns. Dr. Carr values the opportunity to build trusting, long-lasting relationships with her patients. She listens carefully to their goals and concerns and works to find creative solutions that best address their individual needs. Outside of work, Dr. Carr enjoys the outdoors year-round including hiking, boating, biking, skiing, flower gardening and taking long walks with her dog. She also enjoys traveling and watching sports at the high school, college and professional levels. I love to partner with people to help them heal and achieve better health and well-being.
