Kellia (KJ) Hansmann, MD, is a UW Health family medicine doctor. She provides primary care for patients of all ages, from newborns to older adults. She is also an assistant professor in the Department of Family Medicine and Community Health at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health.
Dr. Hansmann helps patients manage their whole health. This includes chronic medical conditions, mental health and health promotion.
She has a special interest in working with patients with memory concerns and dementia. She is also dedicated to providing inclusive, affirming care to patients who identify as LGBTQ+.
In addition to her clinical practice and teaching role, Dr. Hansmann researches how to support patients with dementia and their family navigate the transition of stopping driving through team-based approaches.

In her free time, Dr. Hansmann enjoys spending time with her family, friends and cats, reading, being outdoors, eating good food and traveling.
I work with patients in the context of their families, friends and communities to understand how we can promote health and well-being together.
