Kelly Herold, MD, is an internal medicine doctor at UW Health and an associate clinical professor in the Department of Medicine at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health. She provides primary care and preventive health services to patients 18 and older. Dr. Herold also specializes in treating adults with complex medical conditions.
Dr. Herold’s care philosophy is to start with standard medical guidelines and best practices and then personalize care plans to meet patients’ needs and priorities. She enjoys helping people understand their ailments and believes making patients feel comfortable is the key to developing trust.
In addition to her medical practice, Dr. Herold provides teaching and coaching to medical students during their four years of training. One of her favorite parts of working with medical students is teaching them interview skills that can help improve communication between doctors and patients.
In her free time, Dr. Herold enjoys hiking and spending time outdoors with her family and friends.
