Kelly Capel, MD, is a UW Health radiologist and clinical assistant professor in the Department of Radiology at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health. She specializes in head and neck imaging using ultrasound, MRI and CT scans.

Dr. Capel interprets neuroradiologic images of the head, neck, brain and spine to diagnose conditions such as stroke, brain tumors, head cancer, neck cancer and other neurological conditions. She has special clinicals interest in stroke and vascular-related conditions and conducts research in these areas to further advance the use of imaging for early disease detection.

In her free time, Dr. Capel enjoys hiking, traveling, playing soccer and spending time with family.

I want the best for all my patients. I look closely at every scan as if it were my own family member’s images to provide the most complete and accurate diagnosis.
