Kevin Kurt, OD

Kevin Kurt, OD, is a UW Health optometrist. Dr. Kurt performs comprehensive eye exams and prescribes glasses and contact lenses. He diagnoses and treats common eye disorders and diseases, such as glaucoma and macular degeneration, and prescribes medication. Dr. Kurt also treats people who have emergency eye issues, including retinal detachments, and refers them to surgeons as needed.

During visits, Dr. Kurt talks with patients about their ocular (eye) health and overall health. He dilates the eyes, checks the fronts and backs of the eyes and checks glasses. Dr. Kurt listens closely to his patients and addresses their concerns. He explains their disorders, vision correction options and treatment plans. As needed, Dr. Kurt collaborates with other specialists to ensure patients get the right care for their eyes or any other medical issues.

His goal is to help people see better and relieve their pain so they can enjoy healthy lives.

During his free time, Dr. Kurt enjoys playing basketball, coaching his daughter’s basketball team and participating in triathlons.
