Kyra Deiss, PA

Kyra Deiss, PA, is a UW Health physician assistant specializing in general surgery. She works as part of a team that cares for traumatic injuries and other conditions affecting abdominal and digestive tract organs.

Kyra cares for patients who need emergency evaluation and surgery. Her team treats conditions such as appendicitis, perforated bowel, inflamed gall bladder and soft tissue infections.

Kyra provides personalized care focused on the whole person. She cares for her patients’ medical needs, while also addressing unique emotional, mental health and physical concerns. She listens to patients’ worries, needs and wishes. She makes sure that they know what to expect and the reasons behind their care plan. At every step, Kyra encourages questions and gives well-informed answers.

In her free time, Kyra stays busy caring for her children. She also enjoys reading, gardening and traveling.

It’s rewarding to help people get better. My hope for each patient is for them to heal, get out of the hospital and not require further surgery.
