Lauren Ives, MD

Lauren Ives, MD, is a UW Health family medicine doctor. She offers comprehensive primary care for adults and children of all ages.

Dr. Ives diagnoses and treats sudden illnesses, such as ear infections, strep throat and flu. She also helps people manage chronic (ongoing) conditions. These include high blood pressure, arthritis, diabetes and heart disease. She has a special interest in pediatrics, women’s health and medical dermatology.

As a family medicine doctor, Dr. Ives believes strongly in the importance of disease prevention. She offers health screenings, physicals, well-child visits and immunizations. She enjoys educating her patients about how to fight illness by living a healthy lifestyle.

During office visits, Dr. Ives talks with her patients about their conditions and explains test results. She outlines treatment options and works to help people make smart decisions about their health care. If needed, she refers her patients to specialists.

Away from the clinic, Dr. Ives enjoys cooking, reading, crafting, painting, travel and spending time with her family.

I love family medicine because I see whole generations of families. I work to help each patient prevent illness instead of just catching it down the road.
