About

Lauren Wahl, MS, CCC-SLP, is a UW Health Kids speech-language pathologist.

Lauren evaluates and treats children who have speech and language impairments. She has a special clinical interest in language delays; articulation and phonological disorders (not speaking clearly or using incorrect speech patterns); childhood apraxia of speech (difficulty coordinating movements that allow someone to say the words that their brain is thinking); and gestalt language learning (learning phrases without understanding the individual words within the phrase).

Lauren listens carefully to families’ experiences, concerns and input. She partners with them to identify and implement strategies that will best help each child to reach their goals. She strives to build supportive, trusting relationships that enable families to carry on the work done in therapy sessions and translate it into real-world success.

Outside of work, Lauren enjoys baking, dancing and snuggling with her two cats, Bagel and Millie.

I work closely with families to find the strategies that work best for each child.
