About

Madelyn Esposito, LPC, is a UW Health certified sex therapist and program manager of UW Health’s Sexual Health Clinic. She treats patients with psychological and behavioral concerns related to sexual health. Her approach promotes a sex-positive and trauma-informed therapeutic environment to patients of all gender identities.

Madelyn is a trained couples and family therapist and is certified through the American Association for Sexual Educators, Counselors, and Therapists (AASECT). She uses psychotherapy (talk therapy) to address sexual dysfunction and encourage sexual health. Issues that might benefit from sex therapy include low desire, high desire, erectile dysfunction, premature ejaculation and any relational issues affected by such conditions.

Listening is the most important part of Madelyn’s work. She believes that patients define their own experience of “normal” and are the experts of their own lives and bodies. She collaborates with patients on goals to ensure that therapy is productive and remains non-judgmental.

Madelyn aims to increase access to sexual health within UW Health. She educates other providers and departments on inclusivity and the importance of considering sexual health to improve patients’ emotional, physical and mental health. She also supervises other therapists, psychology interns and psychiatry residents learning couple and sex therapy.

My hope for my patients is that they can feel empowered in their own bodies.
