Megan Wise, NP

As a UW Health nurse practitioner, Megan provides primary care to her patients, ages 18 and up. She performs patient exams, explains her diagnosis, administers treatment and prescribes medications and therapies.

Megan treats chronic health conditions such as diabetes, high cholesterol, high blood pressure and obesity. She also treats acute concerns such as injuries, illnesses, and infections, and also offers physical exams and annual checkups. Megan orders and interprets diagnostic testing such as X-rays, ECGs and lab work.

Megan’s care philosophy is patient-centered. She believes in taking time to talk with and listen to her patients so she can understand their goals and expectations. By answering her patients’ concerns and providing health education, she can create a care plan that caters to their unique needs and lifestyles. Megan values building a relationship of mutual trust. Her goal is to address her patients’ concerns to their satisfaction and to set clear care plan goals by the end of the visit.

Megan is the mom to twins, and they enjoy paddle boarding and spending time together in nature.

I enjoy the challenge that internal medicine provides with the complexity of patients.
