Michele Martin, OD, is a UW Health optometrist who cares for patients of all ages who need eye exams, glasses or contacts. An eye exam typically involves measuring your eyes and checking for refractive error (farsighted, nearsighted or astigmatism). Dr. Martin tests your eye pressure and dilates your eyes.
She also performs diabetic retinopathy exams (a diabetes complication that affects the eyes) and fits patients for specialty contact lenses.
It’s very rewarding to Dr. Martin when her patients report they can see better with new glasses or contacts. She listens carefully to her patients and tries to understand exactly what they need, whether it’s clearer vision or other concerns. Dr. Martin is calm and patient when explaining vision conditions and treatment options.
Outside of the clinic, Dr. Martin enjoys traveling.
My goal is to keep my patients seeing as well as possible.
