Mohammad Haidar, DO

Mohammed Haidar is a UW Health surgeon. He provides care for patients with gallbladder disease, wounds, bowel obstruction (blockages) and appendicitis. Dr. Haidar also diagnoses and treats a broad spectrum of diseases that affect the colon, the rectum and the anus. He cares for patients with benign (noncancerous) and malignant (cancerous) diseases.

Dr. Haidar treats colon and rectal cancer, anal cancer, and digestive diseases such as diverticulitis (colon inflammation), Crohn's disease (digestive tract inflammation) and ulcerative colitis (ulcers or sores in the bowel).

Dr. Haidar also performs surgical procedures to repair anal fistulas (abnormal tunnels between the anus and the outer skin), hemorrhoids, fissures (small tears in the anal skin), rectal prolapse (when the rectum starts to push through the anus) and other abnormalities in or around the anus and rectum.

Dr. Haidar educates his patients about their conditions and treatment options. His focuses on making sure the patients understand and are actively involved in decisions about their care. He offers personalized recommendations and guidance, working with patients and medical specialists as a team.
