Nicholas Alfano, NP

Nicholas (Nick) Alfano, NP, is a UW Health nurse practitioner in cardiology.

Nick cares for patients with medical conditions that involve the heart and blood vessels. These issues include heart failure (the heart can’t pump enough blood to meet the body’s needs), coronary artery disease (plaque buildup on the artery walls) and cardiac electrical disorders (problems with the heart’s rate and rhythm).

Nick performs physical exams, orders tests, and prescribes and monitors medication. Nick teaches each patient about their heart condition and how it impacts their lives. He also offers information to help people with heart disorders live their highest possible quality of life.

Nick’s patient care philosophy is to treat every patient as if they are family.

During his free time, Nick enjoys outdoor activities.
