Orhan Ozkan, MD, is a UW Health radiologist. He uses minimally invasive procedures to diagnose or treat medical conditions, including cancer and abscesses, or to view obstructions in the body. Dr. Ozkan also is a professor in the Department of Radiology at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health.
Dr. Ozkan uses X-ray, fluoroscopy (imaging that shows a continuous internal view of the body), CT scans and MRI to guide minimally invasive procedures. Using tiny instruments inserted through small tubes, Dr. Ozkan diagnoses conditions, performs procedures or delivers targeted cancer treatments. This technique reduces the need for large incisions and allows patients to heal faster.
It’s very important for Dr. Ozkan to involve his patients in discussions about care and treatments. He reviews the benefits and risks of different options and helps them make the best decision for their specific needs.
In his free time, Dr. Ozkan enjoys traveling, biking and woodworking.
The most rewarding thing about taking care of my patients is seeing them get better.
