Pippa Cosper, MD, is a radiation oncologist at UW Health and an assistant professor in the Department of Human Oncology at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health. She treats patients with breast, prostate and metastatic cancer.
Dr. Cosper values the opportunity to build strong relationships with her patients. She strives to understand their hopes and fears so that together, they can develop a care plan that best addresses their unique needs.
With a passion for cancer research, Dr. Cosper is searching for ways to improve cancer care. In her lab, she’s studying how errors in cell division might be used to our advantage to kill cancer cells. Her ultimate goal is to design treatments based on each patient's tumor biology. She hopes to increase the chance of a cure or to decrease treatment side effects by combining new therapies or decreasing the dose of radiation given.
Outside of work, Dr. Cosper enjoys taking long walks by the lake with her dog.
I truly love connecting with people and helping them through difficult times.
