Robert Przybelski, MD, MS, is a UW Health geriatrician (a doctor who cares for older adults). He’s also a professor in the Department of Medicine, Division of Geriatrics and Gerontology at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health. Dr. Przybelski specializes in treating elderly patients with medical conditions that affect their memory. These include vitamin deficiencies and dementia. He focuses primarily on treating those with Alzheimer’s disease (a progressive form of dementia that destroys memory and thinking skills). He helps patients manage their conditions through a blend of holistic therapies and targeted treatments. Dedicated to providing comprehensive care, Dr. Przybelski strives to preserve all aspects of his patients’ health and wellness. He recognizes that memory loss can cause fear, and he strives to ensure that his patients feel welcome and safe from the moment they meet. He looks forward to learning about their lives and helping them make decisions about their health. In addition to his clinical work, Dr. Przybelski researches the impact of vitamin deficiencies on memory problems. He also studies new ways to optimize dementia treatments. In his free time, Dr. Przybelski enjoys running, cycling, kayaking and rowing. I am honored to be a part of my patients’ lives. I hope that they leave my office feeling empowered to make decisions that reflect their goals.
