Robert Jupiter, MD, is a UW Health family medicine doctor. He provides primary care for patients of all ages, from newborns to the elderly.
Dr. Jupiter diagnoses and treats acute (sudden) illnesses and manages chronic (long-term) conditions such as diabetes, hypertension (high blood pressure), asthma and arthritis. He offers care for men’s health issues such as prostate health and sexual health and women’s health issues such as contraception, menopause and reproductive health. He also provides pediatric care for babies and children that include well-child visits, growth monitoring and vaccinations and provides care for older adults that is focused on age-related health issues and conditions.
Dr. Jupiter believes in preventing illness and offers annual physicals, health screenings, vaccinations and health counseling. Because he believes in treating the whole person, he also provides mental health services, including treating depression, anxiety and stress.
Dr. Jupiter has a special clinical interest in obesity medicine. He believes in educating his patients about preventive steps and lifestyle changes they can take to improve their overall health and wellbeing. He emphasizes continuity and a holistic approach to care.
Outside of work, Dr. Jupiter enjoys traveling, being active outdoors, listening to music and spending time with family.
I advocate for a comprehensive approach to medicine that prioritizes treating the individual rather than just the illness.
