Sara Misurelli, PhD, AuD, CCC-A

  • Audiology (Hearing Services)

Sara Misurelli, PhD, AuD, is a UW Health audiologist who diagnoses and treats adults with hearing loss. With expertise in diagnostic testing, Sara works to find the best solution for each patient’s hearing disorder. Her special interests include cochlear implants and hearing aids. She helps people overcome challenges—especially when trying to communicate and engage in work and social activities. When Sara’s father experienced severe hearing loss in his early 40s, she saw firsthand the advantages that assistive hearing technology can provide.

Sara researches ways to help people with cochlear implants and hearing devices communicate more effectively in complex environments. These situations may include several people talking simultaneously, background noise and environmental sounds, such as traffic, music and alarms.

Sara holds a certificate of clinical competence in audiology (CCC-A) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association.

During her free time, Dr. Misurelli enjoys spending time with family, running and all things Disney.

I treat my patients with care and kindness. I help them know what to expect and present them with the latest treatment options for hearing.
