Sarah Holum, NP, is a nurse practitioner at UW Health where she cares for people with a wide-range of medical issues with great skill and compassion. As a nurse practitioner, Sarah considers it a true privilege to build relationships with her patients and work as a team to help manage their health issues. She treats acute pain, injuries, illnesses and chronic conditions, such as diabetes, heart disease, high blood pressure and skin problems. She also performs routine physicals and well checkups.   Sarah’s clinical interests include women’s health and PrEP (pre-exposure prophylaxis), a medicine therapy that reduces the chance of HIV transmission. Away from the clinic, Sarah enjoys spending time with her family, reading and dancing.  I listen carefully to understand my patients’ priorities and gain their trust. I want people to feel comfortable sharing anything with me and to know I’m here for them. And when they leave, I hope they feel we’ve accomplished something – and created a solid plan to change their health for the better.
