Sarah Robertson, MD, is a UW Health headache medicine doctor. She cares for patients with conditions that cause head and neck pain.
Dr. Robertson diagnoses and treats various headache disorders, including common concerns like migraine and tension (stress-induced) headaches. She also helps patients manage rare conditions, such as cluster headaches — a series of extremely painful one-sided headaches that occur in groups, or “clusters.”
Dr. Robertson also performs minimally invasive procedures to help patients manage their pain. These include Botox or nerve block injections. She also performs trigger point injections (using a small needle to inject anesthetic directly into a muscle knot to relieve head or neck pain).
Motivated by a family member’s struggle with chronic headaches, Dr. Robertson strives to help others in this underserved community find relief. She recognizes the value of teamwork and works with her patients to understand their conditions and find treatments that fit their needs. Overall, she looks forward to empowering patients to take control of their recovery.
In her free time, Dr. Robertson enjoys traveling the world and sharing her home-cooked meals with colleagues.
I strive to inspire my patients to be invested in their recovery. My goal is to restore their hope and help them feel better as a whole.
