Siobhan Byrne, MD, is a UW Health gastroenterologist (digestive system doctor) and an associate clinical professor at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health in the Department of Medicine, Division of Gastroenterology and Hepatology.
Dr. Byrne diagnoses and treats people who have inflammatory bowel disease, including ulcerative colitis and Crohn’s disease. Inflammatory bowel disease is a chronic irritation, swelling and pain in the gastrointestinal (GI) tract.
With care and compassion, Dr. Byrne listens carefully to her patients’ concerns and talks with them about their medical history with inflammatory bowel disease. She educates patients about their conditions and outlines their treatment options so they can make informed decisions about their care. Dr. Byrne assures patients that she will partner with them to ease their discomfort and manage their condition so they can live productive, fulfilling lives.
During her free time, Dr. Byrne enjoys travel and the sport of curling. She also speaks French.
I help my patients feel better and live their best lives, despite their inflammatory bowel disease.
