Snigdha Volety, MD, is a UW Health family medicine doctor. Dr. Volety provides preventive health care for patients of all ages, including physicals, immunizations and health screenings. She also cares for people with chronic (ongoing) health conditions such as diabetes, hypertension (high blood pressure), asthma and high cholesterol. Dr. Volety addresses acute (short-term) health concerns like colds, flu, infections and minor injuries.
She spends time with each patient to ensure they fully understand their health conditions. She works together with them to develop an effective, realistic care plan. Dr. Volety has special clinical interests in weight loss, psychiatry, women’s health, LGBTQA health care and preventive care. Coming from a family of doctors and scientists, she had been very interested in becoming a doctor since she was a child.
Outside of work, Dr. Volety practices yoga and appreciates Indian classical music and dance. She enjoys gardening and spending time with her two rambunctious Golden Retrievers.
I follow an individualized approach bearing in mind my patient’s social, educational and economic background.
