Sravanthi Nagavalli, MD

Sravanthi Nagavalli, MD, is a UW Health endocrinologist. Dr. Nagavalli treats adults with health conditions involving the endocrine (hormone) system and metabolism (how the body processes food). She provides care for people with Type 1 and Type 2 diabetes, including insulin pump management. Dr. Nagavalli sees patients who have problems with their hormone-producing glands, such as the pituitary gland (regulates growth) and adrenal gland (affects heart rate and blood pressure).

She cares for those with polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS), which causes multiple ovarian cysts and disrupts the menstrual cycle. Dr. Nagavalli also treats problems with the thyroid and parathyroid glands, which control metabolism, calcium and phosphorus levels in the body. These issues include overactive glands, thyroid cancer, calcium disorders and osteoporosis (low bone density).

Dr. Nagavalli was inspired to become a doctor after seeing the exceptional care that her grandparents received from medical professionals while navigating complex health issues.

Outside of work, Dr. Nagavalli enjoys spending time with her husband and two daughters, playing badminton, cooking, reading, traveling and gardening.

I believe in being transparent and empowering my patients through knowledge, lifestyle changes, individualized treatment plans and shared decision-making.
