Tarek Harb, MD, FACOG

Tarek Harb, MD, is a UW Health obstetrician and gynecologist. Dr. Harb treats gynecologic conditions, such as abnormal uterine bleeding, uterine fibroids (noncancerous growths in the uterus) and ovarian cysts (fluid-filled sacs in the ovary). He also has experience caring for patients with endometriosis, a painful condition in which cells in the lining of the uterus grow outside the uterus. Dr. Harb provides prenatal (pregnancy) care and delivers babies. He also cares for women approaching menopause (perimenopausal) and those going through menopause.

Dr. Harb offers gynecologic procedures, including pap smears, colposcopies (using a specialized instrument to view the cervix, vulva and vagina closely) and biopsies (removing a small tissue sample for close analysis). He emphasizes minimally invasive techniques for surgical gynecologic procedures. He specializes in robotic and laparoscopic (using multiple small cuts instead of one larger cut) surgical approaches. Dr. Harb also performs hysteroscopy, in which he passes a long, flexible scope through the vagina and cervix and into the uterus for close examination and treatment.

Dr. Harb speaks English, French and Arabic, allowing him to care for a wider patient population.

I strive to provide the best-personalized care that aligns with each patient’s values and beliefs.
