Thomas Hartjes, MD, is a UW Health family medicine doctor specializing in urgent care. He’s also a clinical assistant professor in the Department of Family Medicine and Community Health at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health.
Dr. Hartjes cares for patients of all ages with a wide variety of acute (sudden) illnesses or injuries. These conditions range from viruses, infections and allergies to broken bones, burns and cuts. He particularly enjoys working with older patients.
With over 40 years of experience, Dr. Hartjes prioritizes prompt, high-quality care for individuals from all walks of life. Through compassionate, patient-centered care, he strives to support people in returning to the activities they love.
In his free time, Dr. Hartjes enjoys cycling, hiking, cross-country skiing and snowshoeing.
