About

Tonia Midthun, OT, is a UW Health occupational therapist. She helps patients who have neurological conditions maintain mobility and independence. Tonia works with patients who have a range of neurological disorders, including Parkinson’s disease, multiple sclerosis (MS), amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) or Lou Gehrig’s disease, stroke and spinal cord injuries. She also has years of experience working with burn, ICU and trauma patients.

Tonia is committed to providing compassionate care for each of her patients. She is a certified lymphedema therapist and teaches patients about techniques and equipment that may help reduce swelling caused by a buildup of lymphatic fluid. Tonia’s goal is to help patients build up their strength to remain independent and mobile while they learn to adjust to living with a neurological disorder.

I’m committed to providing compassionate care for my patients and their families.
