Vanessa Vaziri, LCSW, is a UW Health behavioral health therapist who provides care for adolescents, young adults and families of those affected by mental health issues.
Vanessa is a clinical social worker who is trained in multiple therapeutic modalities including Eye Movement Reprocessing & Desensitization (EMDR), Multidimensional Family Therapy (MDFT), Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) and Seeking Safety. She is a graduate of the accredited Training for Adoption Competency program through the Center for Adoption Support and Education (C.A.S.E.).
Vanessa treats young patients and families with various mental health concerns. These concerns include depression, anxiety, ADHD, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), complex trauma, substance use and family systems issues. As a compassionate provider to people from all walks of life, she particularly enjoys working with patients touched by adoption as well as members of the LGBTQIA+ community.
From managing daily stressors to coping with long-term conditions, Vanessa offers personalized therapy for both individuals and families. She partners with people to guide them through dark moments and help them find happiness in healing.
Outside of work, Vanessa enjoys baking, gardening, crafting, singing and spending time outdoors.
