William Cunningham, MD, FACOG

William Cunningham, MD, FACOG, is a UW Health obstetrician and gynecologist (OB/GYN) and medical director of UW Health Women and Children's Hospital.

Dr. Cunningham provides comprehensive women’s health care and treats patients with complex gynecological (female-related) issues such as adenomyosis, endometriosis, menstrual cycle irregularities, pelvic floor conditions, menopause and ovarian cysts. He also provides prenatal, natal and postnatal care for pregnant patients and specializes in high-risk pregnancies. He has a clinical interest in preeclampsia, focusing on early detection and management to ensure the best outcomes for both the patient and baby.

Dr. Cunningham specializes in robotic-assisted gynecological surgery to manage endometriosis and uterine fibroids. He is skilled in the most advanced techniques to perform minimally invasive procedures that are more precise and provide faster recovery times, fewer complications, and improved outcomes. His goal is to provide the best care possible to alleviate his patients’ symptoms.

In his free time, Dr. Cunningham enjoys spending time with family and friends.
