Adam Bregman, MD

Adam Bregman, MD, is a UW Health transplant medicine doctor (nephrologist). He’s also an assistant professor in the Department of Medicine, Division of Nephrology at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health.

Dr. Bregman cares for people who need kidney or pancreas transplants. He also evaluates living donors who are willing to donate their healthy organs. Dr. Bregman sees patients before and after their procedures and addresses any issues. He ensures each patient’s transplant experience goes smoothly.

One of Dr. Bregman’s specialties is treating people who develop cancer after kidney transplant surgery. He works closely with their doctors to reduce the risk of organ rejection and help their cancer treatments work properly.

When meeting with patients, Dr. Bregman listens closely to their concerns. He educates them about their conditions so they can make informed decisions about their treatment. His goal is to help patients return to good health and change their lives for the better.

To improve patient care, Dr. Bregman researches outcomes in transplant patients, including those who need cancer treatment.

Dr. Bregman enjoys spending his free time with his Westie and Bernese Mountain Dog, a therapy dog patients might see around the hospital.

It’s rewarding to help people get their lives back. I love to hear they’re off dialysis, eating well, traveling and doing what they love.
